We all trooped up the road to Scotland for the Shieldbank competition and our first stop was at the Beasleys home where a warm welcome was waiting for us. Bowler had a great stable with Caders Galaxy for company. Bowler had to embarrass me of course and show Galaxy who was the boss ! Everyone enjoyed themselves at the barbeque that night and the kids all stayed in the gym under the watchful eye of Andrew Williamson and we went down the road for B & B.
The competition venue was great, the Shieldbank parents running around making sure everything went smoothly. The judges all very happy and patient considering the amount of work they had to do.
My kids went very well, the Team introduced the new reserve Sarah Freebody, she tried really hard and was very nervous. The rest of the team really supported her. I was pleased with all of them, some compulsories better than others, always work to be done.
Liz and Sarah Watson put some good work in to get first and second place respectively and young Becky Walsh gave a good performance in only her second individual class, looking very positive for the future.
We had a really enjoyable, laidback competition. All of Shieldbank made us very welcome and worked extremely hard. Thank you to everyone who helped. We look forward to the next one.
