Moreton Show, Moreton-in-the-Marsh, 3rd September 2005

Moreton Show got off to a good start as we weren’t allowed in through the right gate and spent about an hour driving through different carparks and gates around the showground, trying to persuade people to let us in. We eventually ended up driving through the showground, between all the attractions and stalls as the crowds dodged out of the way of the lorry. This was quite funny for us in the back but probably wasn’t fun for Wendy who was driving!

We had one demo in the morning and one in the afternoon, which luckily went a lot more smoothly! We started with compulsories and fireworks in canter, then pairs. We then performed the freestyle in walk, with a few extra bits added in. (We couldn’t do it in canter as we were on uneven grass.) Bowler was an angel both times, despite noisy vintage tractors and motorbikes, and loads of people came to see him and compliment him at the end of the show.

It was nice to see Pippa again, who came to vault with us as this was her local show. We had fun doing the demos and afterwards with the pink, glittery, flashing, cowboy hats with tiaras on.
Thanks Pip!
