Canasta II

17'2hh , 11yr old, Danish warmblood, competed International dressage up to FEI Prix St George level until 2005, including the 2004 Sunshine tour at Vejer de la fontera in Spain. After which he decided dressage was no longer his strong point and turned to vaulting in November 2006.

His first competition was in Scotland in March 2007, where he gained scores to compete abroad, 3 weeks later he travelled to France where he behaved beautifully and finished 10th with Sarah Watson.

He enjoys going out with Geoffrey in the field, but likes to keep himself to himself in the stable and doesn’t appreciate tip bits. He likes hacks, as long as he goes the way he wants to and is enjoying being introduced to jumping, where he likes to pop in his fantastic flying changes.

In 2008 he carried the Dutch junior team at Krumke and put in a creditable performance.

Since then team vaulter Fiona Jones and her mum Kathy have bought him for Show Jumping and he is doing really well. We are still able to vault on him whenever needed.
