The British Championships 2009 was held at Morten Morrell near Coventry. The team and individuals all travelled up separately because we don’t live too far away, and we all live in different directions.
The competition was held over two days, Saturday and Sunday. The first day we did the compulsories and our first round of freestyle, and on the second day, we did our second round of freestyle where we scored 7.7, our best freestyle score of the year!
Go Fast, our team horse was as good as gold and went absolutely beautifully, helping us to produce a solid set of compulsories, and two freestyles that were foot perfect and ran very smoothly!
Overall we won this competition, making us the British Champions 2009, the first time an English team has been the British Champions since 1998, so our coach and the team were all extremely happy!
This competition was also the first selection trials for the World Equestrian Games, which will be held at the horse park in Lexington Kentucky 2010!
